Okay, bear with me here. I love this place, but it usually smells kinda funny. This is one of my go to places after Bellyfull in Sugar Land closed due to COVID :( I like their beef rice noodle soup. Not the spicy one with the chili oil that sits on top. It's not spicy and it has the pickled greens in it. I love the texture of the rice noodles. I don't feel like places often enough have the pickled/sour greens with it, but this place does. I like the chew of the beef too, but I highly recommend bringing floss with you. Their soup dumplings are pretty solid and it's not super expensive. The staff are usually somewhat friendly, kind of short with you but that's kind of normal for Bellaire. This is one of my places I come to as a regular, so I do like it enough to come back, but at the same time I wish they changed a couple of things, primarily the smell lol.

A typical Chinese breakfast is still extremely satisfying to me. "You Tiao," the quintessential Chinese Long Doughnut, is a perennial favorite from Malaysia to France; it's a deep-fried dough stick that's crispy on the outside and airy inside, often enjoyed dipped in soy milk or porridge. I appreciate the accompanying sweet "Dou Jiang" because it complements the savoriness and egginess of the version made here very well; "Dou Jiang" is a sweet soy milk that's a traditional and comforting beverage, often paired with "You Tiao" for a classic breakfast. We both love their "Cha Sao Bao" here because of the juicy BBQ pork filling and the feathery dough; "Cha Sao Bao" is a steamed bun filled with sweet and savory barbecue pork, known for its tender filling encased in soft, fluffy dough. We find ourselves ordering this almost on every visit. The main reason we come here today is Vanessa's craving for their Fatty Beef Tomato Soup Noodle. The noodles are cooked al dente, served in a tangy and savory tomato soup, and topped with slices of tender, fatty beef; this dish combines al dente noodles with a rich, sour, and savory tomato-based broth, accented by slices of marbled beef for a comforting and hearty meal. We both didn't grow up with this dish, but our Chinese DNA was instantly drawn to this popular Northern Chinese dish. People have different preferences, but we love "Bao Shi Yi." It's heartwarming to see Chinese families bringing their little children here to experience a traditional Chinese breakfast instead of the common sugar cereal or Pop-Tarts. I find their food comforting and well-executed. It's always going to be one of our favorite places to enjoy a traditional Chinese breakfast.

Noodle are fresh made. Bao are made with care (ingredients inside the bao is not just some sweet hoisin sauce and steam it) . Limited menu but rather have food with heart and care vs too many choices. Good for breakfast , brunch. Will come again to try others. Staff came by couple of times to ask if everything is ok, which is nice. Utensils and tableware are all takeaway ready. No reusable tableware.
